No, I'm not eating. I just thought this summed up my feelings this year. Through all we have been through this last year, I have grown so much more thankful of my family as well as my Church family. We take people and things for granted. I would never have asked for the things that we have been through, but I tell you what, we as a Church could never have found the unity and peace that we have, just because. We have grown it it seems by being there for one another, refusing to give up, and KNOWING through it all, God is there. At times I feel like I have seen the Footprints In The Sand poem played out around me. (only one set of prints, being Gods in the sand) Truly, if it wasn't for the Lord, where would we be. I love Him, and Thank Him so much for keeping us through it all.
Thank You Lord for all the new families in our Church, and for the new children in Sunday School may I never get over the excitement of seeing a new child's eyes light up in understanding while I am teaching.
I am overwhelmed with things I am thankful for Lord, for the things that I have, and have not remembered to write, Thank You. May I always be thankful.
Lord, so often times, as any other day
When we sit down to our meal and pray
We hurry along and make fast the blessing
Thanks, amen. Now please pass the dressing
We're slaves to the olfactory overload
We must rush our prayer before the food gets cold
But Lord, I'd like to take a few minute more
To really give thanks to what I'm thankful for
For my family, my health, a nice soft bed
My friends, my freedom, a roof over my head
I'm thankful right now to be surrounded by those
Whose lives touch me more than they'll ever possibly know
Thankful Lord, that You've blessed me beyond measure
Thankful that in my heart lives life's greatest treasure
That You, dear Jesus, reside in that place
And I'm ever so grateful for Your unending grace
So please, heavenly Father, bless this food You've provided
And bless each and every person invited
Amen!
